Kid’s Christmas Lists

The Christmas lists are here for the kids.
Below are the links to the Ohio Mentor Amazon Christmas wish lists for their kids and the Caring For Kids Data Base System they use. They are still obtaining lists from their caseworkers, so more will be added to the list, but we wanted to put it out there for those who wanted to get an early start. More and more kids are being added to the list daily. With their list, you are able to purchase as many or as few items as you would like. Just pick the Heaven’s Helping Hands shipping address and all the items are delivered to their group directly to disburse to each child’s case worker.
The first link is the Amazon Wish list for the Ohio Mentor group. Simply choose the Heaven’s Helping Hands ship to address and all the items ship to their group directly. If it does not allow you to do so, it’s because one or more of the items you chose are shipping from a third party and not Amazon direct. In those cases you would have to have the items shipped to your home. Fear not though, let us know and I can pick the items up and deliver them directly to the agencies. It doesn’t happen often, but there are a few items on the lists that the kids want that don’t come directly from Amazon.
The second link is for the Caring for Kids Inc. group who created their own internal database system for their kids. They have their site working like a well oiled machine and helps them from an organizational standpoint since they have so many kids within their group. From their home page, you select “Sponsor a Child” in the left hand navigation pane (on a computer) or in the menu in the top corner (when on a phone) to see the wish lists. There are a couple of hundred kiddos lists loaded already. Each child has a character representing their gender, race and approximate age alongside their name. Once you click on the character, their wish list pops up. On a computer, it is to the right of the screen and on your phone it covers the whole screen. The child’s actual age is written out at the top of the wish list with their name.
With their system, you can purchase the items from any vendor or store you would like and then have it shipped to their location or donors are welcome to drop off any time their office is open which is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00Pm. Their address information is available their link.

If you have any questions of need assistance with their system, please email rebecca@cfkadopt.org
Their donation room will be set up October 16th through December 8th which is their deadline for deliveries. You can also drop off to their main office inside the facility as well. They will have signs up inside to direct you. If you choose that option, make sure to tell them you are part of the Heaven’s Helping Hands donation family, they love meeting all of you!
The last link is for our Heaven’s Helping Hands donation link. Corporate and individual monetary donations may be made either via PayPal or via Venmo. Monetary donations during this part of the season are used to purchase the gift cards kids request and also bicycles that are requested. We know a lot of people don’t find the same joy in purchasing gift cards as they do toys, but the teenagers almost all request gift cards and it ends up being the biggest expense. We are a fully accredited 501c3 Non-Profit organization, so tax donation receipts are available upon request for any monetary donation over $100.
Any help would certainly be appreciated. Many of these kids have gone through things that no one should ever have to go through. Many have been abused mentally and/or physically or have been neglected to the point where Children Services has been called in. There are unfortunately not enough foster homes and some of the kids are living in government buildings. For some of the kids, this will be their first time ever even receiving a Christmas gift.
Thank you for your time and a special thank you to those who year in and year out help provide donations for emergency intakes throughout the year, for school supplies and clothing and especially Christmas!
Check back often, as I mentioned, more lists are being added daily.
